Job Summary: Assists Director in the operation and management of the Department of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities: Interprets and transcribes, when necessary, all medication orders from the physician’s order sheet and medication profile.

Maintains adequate skills in the use of the Pharmacy computer software, hospital computer software, as well as the electronic medication distribution system.

Performs the documentation of medication compliance for inpatient or outpatient services

Verifies and checks all entries on the medication profile for accuracy and completeness.

Monitors patients’ medication profiles for appropriateness of drug therapy, dosing and dose forms, drug interactions and contraindications for use.

Performs other duties consistent with the job classification, as required

Schedule: 40/80 Full Time Days - Every Other Weekend

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy Training and Experience: Registered or eligible for registration in the State of Rhode Island Special Qualifications: Board Certification in Psychopharmacology is encouraged.You are being hired to replace a striking employee.
