Job Summary:

The Associate Claims Analyst reviews case material and provides written summaries of reported liability incidents. This position conducts data entry in several Claims Management systems, paper file development, report preparation, and assists the self-insurance programs as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists self-insurance programs with claims management as needed.

Reviews case materials, including medical records, interviews, investigation materials, etc. and provide written summaries.

Coordinates with claimants, facility representatives, witnesses, lawyers and medical professionals to collect necessary information.

Evaluates the litigation potential of reported liability incidents to Care New England.

Prepares for and attends claims meetings.

Prepares reports on claims activity, trends and other relevant data as requested.

Develops and reports compliance metrics.

Assists with case data entry into the Claims Management systems and maintains accurate records of claims including case information, reserves, billing, updates and reports.

Performs other related job duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements:

Associates Degree in healthcare, insurance or business preferred.

Previous experience in insurance, claims processing, or a related field is preferred.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims processing software.
