The Director of Nursing leads the nursing staff in the delivery of excellent care to patients by developing a high reliability culture of safety. He/she has 24/7 responsibility in the staff, delivery of care, and fiscal viability for the unit.
Requirements: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Masters degree or proof of academic achievement toward a Masters degree in Nursing or related field and must be currently enrolled in a Masters program with a targeted date of completion preferred. Current licensure with the State of Rhode Island as a registered nurse.
Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
ADA: Manual dexterity and mobility required for physical demands of job, including frequent and often prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking, and occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling or crouching. Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds.
