Job Summary: The RN is responsible for nursing care provided at the Providence, RI & New Bedford, MA Prenatal Diagnosis Center as well as the Providence,RI Fetal Evaluation Unit for the ante-partum patient. The RN is primarily responsible for ante-partum fetal surveillance, and should demonstrate competency in the application and use of external electronic and auscultatory fetal monitoring equipment and interpretation of data for biophysical testing.The position requires the booking of patients and reporting of data to referring physicians. The RN will work in conjunction with the Professional Nurse Coordinator.
Specifications: Must have and maintain current licensure in the state of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Maintains CPR and any other credentialing or certification necessary, to be competent as a Registered Nurse in an area of specialty. Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. Must be proficient in the English language.
**This RN flexes between MFM offsite locations as needed by department with a minimum of one weeks advanced notice to cover vacations and leave of absence. Will be asked on occasion to flex to other offsite to cover if someone has called out sick. Primary location for employee will be the PDC Providence.
