Job Summary:
The Per-Diem RN Diabetes Clinician assesses, treats, and tracks patients with diabetes during pregnancy. The incumbent interviews patients and assesses diabetes status, provides instruction and education, and maintains appropriate records. Designs and implements educational programs and materials, serves as a resource for patients as well as staff.
Specifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree & Certification as a Certified Diabetes Outpatient Educator (CDOE) required. Must have five years experience in direct clinical care of patients. Must have and maintain current licensure in the State of Rhode Island. Strong communication and inter-personal skills necessary as well as fluency in the English language.
