Primary Function

Responsible for performing a variety of support services for Diagnostic department.

Responsibilities

1. Assist modality staff in preparing room for patient exams, to include stocking and cleaning of area.

2. Contacts appropriate medical facilities, nursing units and other healthcare providers to obtain pertinent patient information/prior exam reports required for testing of patients.

3. Distributes reports to physician offices and other healthcare providers as requested.

4. Transports patients to maintain workflow and patient throughput when necessary.

5. Assists patients to dressing areas if necessary.

6. Assists with moving patients from stretcher to scanners/patient movement.

7. Coordinates paperwork/reports on patients throughout the department and to Radiologists.

8. Delivers oral contrast to other areas of the hospital for patient prep prior to testing.

9. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

A High School diploma required. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
