Primary Function
Responsible for preparing food for dining room and for patients under the direction of the Cook II/Executive Chef.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation and cooling of foods using standardized recipes, production sheets and HACCP Records under the supervision of a cook.
Prepare and cook food on grill.
Serves and plates meals for patient services.
Control quantity and quality of foods used on a daily basis by taking inventory daily and ordering supplies as needed.
Maintains high standards of food handling and cleanliness in the work area.
Responsible for cleaning production area prior to end of shift.
Responsible for maintaining principles of proper food production and other related activities.
Assists with catered events for food preparation and service.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
High School Diploma is required. Vocational/technical training and a minimum of one year’s job-related experience required. Must be able to follow directions, both oral and written. Must be able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, and keep simple records. Proficiency in the English language required.
