Job Summary: The Patient Service Representative provides support in the patient services functions of the Diagnostic Imaging department. The incumbent coordinates the care of patients by gathering medical information prior to the exam, prepares patients for exams, and facilitates the flow of information between patients, Diagnostic Imaging staff, referring physicians and outside facilities. Assists in maintaining database, provides clerical support and performs other job related duties.
Specifications: Associates degree with three to five years experience in a medical setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of basic medical terminology, and demonstrated maturity to work with high-risk patients. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required, bilingual helpful. Must have strong computer skills. Proficiency in the English language required.
