Job Summary: Oversees Food & Nutrition personnel in the preparation of food and service, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained for food service quality to patients or customers. Responsible for ensuring that food served meets physician orders. Develops and posts work schedule, oversees staff in their duties, and assists with training orientations and job appraisals. Performs diet office clerical duties and other job-related duties as required or requested.
Specifications: Two-year (post secondary) degree in food/nutrition or equivalent on the job training with a demonstrated willingness to obtain additional knowledge in the field. Must be able to effectively direct and communicate with all Food & Nutrition personnel. Must be able to issue instructions concisely and interact effectively with other members of the hospital team.
