Job Summary: The Mail Courier transports mail, packages, specimens and other hospital-related material as needed, covering all areas within the Hospital, off-site buildings, post office, and other locations as required. Provides support in Mail Center, such as operating and maintaining postage equipment and ensuring adequate inventory levels. Maintains current knowledge of postal requirements; performs other job-related duties as required.
Specifications: High school diploma required. Must possess current and valid Chauffeurs Class One license (current employees are granted 30 days from date of transfer to obtain license). Must have a valid Medical Card. Six months to one year related experience preferred, and basic computer experience preferred. Must be proficient in the English language and have the ability to count, sort and perform routine mathematical functions. Good communications and interpersonal skills required. May be required to work beyond scheduled hours to complete daily deliveries.
