Butler Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented part-time Program Therapist for our Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program. The Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program treats young adult, ages 18 to 26, who are struggling with their mental health and need the additional support of group therapy to aid in their recovery.

Job Review: Operating Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, the program delivers group therapy curriculum utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Schema Therapy. Our multidisciplinary staff helps patients focus heavily on fostering resiliency and taking ownership of one's own progress and healing.

The Program Therapist is responsible for initial psychiatric evaluations, 1:1 therapy sessions and the facilitation of psychotherapy and didactic group sessions. Therapists work alongside program leadership, our psychiatric prescribers, the unit secretary and occupational therapists to ensure the engagement and improvement of the patients enrolled in our program.

In working with this age group, interest in providing LGBTQ+ affirming care is a must. Experience with groups, individual therapy, autism spectrum, personality disorders, mood disorders, and suicide risk assessment are preferred.

The position offers medical, dental and other great benefits and the schedule is 20 hours per week with the ability to pick up extra hours up to full time work if desired.

Requirements: Master Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required. Must have or be working to earn hours towards independent RI therapy license; **RI LICSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred

Schedule: M, T, TH 11:30-7p.m. part-time, 20 hours weekly.
