Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Development, and in collaboration with the four critical divisions of Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Grants and Special Events, the Philanthropy Officer Stewardship, will perform a variety of duties to advance donor relations by implementing, managing and directing a strategic and proactive donor stewardship program.

Establishes genuine and effective relationships between CNE and various stakeholders by identifying donor interests and aligning individual messaging to appropriate constituents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In conjunction with Philanthropy colleagues, develops, plans, and implements personalized stewardship initiatives and coordinates effective stewardship for individual donors and granting partners across all CNE operating units.

Creates annual and multi-year donor relations strategies that encompass engagement, stewardship, and donor relations approaches that result in increased donor retention and facilitates donor moves management.

Works with Gift Officers and Marketing colleagues to ensure communications are current and personalized.

Participates in strategizing the appropriate prospect cultivation and management for donor engagement.

In collaboration with Gift Officers, manage donor relations through cultivation and stewardship events and recognition opportunities.

Provides customized high impact communications to donors by preparing various print, digital and other materials including, but not limited to, giving reports, and acknowledgements that align with donor interests.

Assist with reconciliation of gifts and supporting documentation of gift agreements.
Responsible for the recording of stewardship activity in the CRM, adhering to HIPAA and privacy guidelines.

Develop tracking systems to evaluate and measure results of activities, and to ensure that existing funds, plaques, and other follow the terms of the gift, as established by the donor.

Collaborate interdepartmentally to establish consistent messaging and branding.
In collaboration with the Philanthropy team create a strong culture of philanthropy across CNE

Participates in evening and weekend events and meetings with donors as needed, including some local and regional travel.

Performs other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Required

5 Years experience in fundraising, higher education, athletics, alumni relations, or a similar field preferred.

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge preferred.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, build effective relationships, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to develop strong relationships with the highest degree of professionalism.

Outstanding interpersonal skills to allow successful interactions with all constituencies, including donors, hospital staff, and patients.

A “can do” attitude and self-motivated with a results-oriented focus

Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with diverse individuals

Proficiency in using digital technologies for communication, information management, and problem-solving
