Primary Function: The primary function/purpose of this job is to provide direct care to clinic patients under the direction of the Program Nurse Manager. Working autonomously, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for patients to plan, implement and evaluate the care according to age-specific criteria. The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all WRHMC and Kent Hospital policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

A. Education/Certification/License Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse with current State license in good standing

2. BSN degree in a related field preferred

3. BLS certified

4. Advanced wound/ostomy certification eligible. Agrees to actively pursue and obtain certification in agreed-upon time frame.

B. Skills/Knowledge/Ability Required:

1.Two years’ prior experience in an acute care setting

2. Ambulatory care experience desirable

3. Working knowledge of advanced wound care principles and products.

4. Able to implement holistic approach to patient care

5. Utilize lift equipment
