Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the program Manager and the general supervision of the Program Unit Chief, evaluates, diagnoses and treats a wide range of psychosocial problems, applying individual and group clinical skills in order to assist patients and their families in the resolution of personal and environmental problems, attributable to psychiatric issues which prevents them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree or above Licensure: License required. Independent license preferred
Training and Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting is required. Training and experience in relation to the population served is necessary- particularly with specialty areas (Substance, DBT, ACT) or continuing education/in-services in that area will be required. Experienced in providing group and individual psychotherapy required.
Special Qualifications: Interest and commitment in the programs at Butler Hospital and the dept of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown Mental Demands- Able to tolerate the stress of multiple demands of working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with multi-disciplinary staff and difficult patient population
Schedule: 20/40 Part Time Days (Mon-Fri)
