Job Summary: The Pharmacy Student assists in providing quality pharmacy services to hospital staff and patients. Assists pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and managing inventory of drugs and medications. Provides support in daily operations, such as maintaining patient records, creating reports, and labeling medication. Ensures infection control standards are maintained, and performs other job-related duties as requested.

Specifications: High School graduate and enrolled in college to pursue a pharmacy career along with experience in pharmacy and familiarity with drug usage, or enrollment in a hospital-based training program leading to certification and licensed as a Pharmacy Technician I with the RI Board of pharmacy. Then transition to Pharmacist Limited (intern) licensure with the State of Rhode Island within 6 months of hire per applicable pharmacy laws. Must have experience in working with computers, possess good interpersonal skills, and be proficient in the English language.
