Job Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Program Manager and the general supervision of the Program Unit Chief, evaluates, diagnoses and treats a wide range of psychosocial problems, applying individual and group cognitive-behavioral interventions in order to assist patients and their families in the resolution of personal and environmental problems, attributable to psychiatric issues which prevents them from achieving their highest level of psychosocial functioning. Demonstrates ethical and collaborative behavior to ensure quality of care and promote positive department and program relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities: Completes Initial Psychiatric and Behavioral evaluations as assigned by the Program Manager.
Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree or above.
Licensure: License required. Independent license preferred
Training and Experience: Experience in a psychiatric setting is required. Training and experience in delivering exposure-based CBT is necessary- particularly with specialty areas (OCD, anxiety, hoarding) or completing continuing education/in-services in that area will be required. Experienced in providing group and individual psychotherapy required.
Special Qualifications: Interest and commitment in the programs at Butler Hospital and the Dept of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown.
