Job Summary:

The Providence Center Medical Assistant Bilingual will perform routine and higher level administrative tasks to assist physicians, nurses and other clinical staff in effectively accomplishing their medical duties. Maintain cooperative, respectful relationships with Center Staff, local agencies, including pharmacy's consumers and the public.

Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.

Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information.

Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.

Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.

Schedule patient appointments and assist with medical record-keeping.

Communicate with patients in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.

Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Ability to work in out very busy Medication room.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma and two years experience as a Medical Assistant; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Bilingual in Spanish required.

Must be reliable and able to multitask.

Must present with a positive attitude.

Must be fluent with serving our client populations.

Must have some knowledge in psychiatric medications.

Must possess good typing skills, spelling, and grammar.

Excellent communication skills required.

General computer experience also required.

Must be detail oriented in order to work in our busy Medication Room.
