Job Summary:

This position provides support in the clinical and office functions of the department. Duties include direct patient contact, maintaining office systems, and providing assistance in various clinical functions and procedures. Provides clerical support to staff and performs other job-related duties as may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Courteously greets patients and escorts patient into exam rooms.

Prepare each patient’s medical record per office protocol (i.e., lab reports, allergies and other correspondence.) Directs patients to complete necessary paperwork upon arrival.

Directs patients to x-ray department, bringing images up in PACS for provider to review.

Assists Provider with suture removal, dressing changes, injection preparation etc.

Prepares and maintains exam rooms, replenishing supplies in exam rooms at the end of day. Maintain clinical inventory and order supplies as needed.

Obtain and records vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse.

Schedules follow-up appointments, labs, or any additional testing.

Float to other CNEMG locations as needed.

Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

Vocational/Technical training and/or a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent is required.

Strong Medical Secretary background.

Must possess interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills to deal effectively with staff, patients, physician in a courteous manner.

Professional, pleasant, cheerful, enthusiastic demeanor and neat appearance required.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient records.
