Job Summary:

Responsible for developing, administering, and coordinating the patient accounts receivable functions related to patient and third party billing, collections, and payment posting for CNE operating units.

Ensures efficient operations and staff compliance with all established policies and procedures.

The Director encourages a team approach towards achieving the overall goals of the revenue cycle for CNE operating units.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Responsible for ensuring CNE operating units adhere to Federal and State and local regulations related to patient billing and collections.

B. Manages and directs the responsibilities of the third party liability team by providing leadership and serving as a resource to evaluate and identify strategies for problem solving.

C. Ensures high levels of performance, quality, and achievement of goals across CNE from direct employee reports of the revenue cycle team.

D. Establishes and maintains system-wide standardization for third party payer accounts receivable functions across all CNE operating units.

E. Identifies opportunities for improvement in the CNE A/R through collaboration with the CNE Revenue Cycle management team.

F. Ensures accurate and timely billing, collections, and payment posting for third party patient claims for the CNE operating units.

G. Ensures efficient operations and staff compliance with all established policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.

H. Demonstrates knowledge of third party payer payment policies and contracts as they relate to third party billing, collections, claims reimbursement, and patient liability.

I. Directs and performs managerial responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, conducting performance evaluations, providing disciplinary action, and recommending salary increases.

J. Preserves and protects patient's rights to confidentiality.

K. Performs other related duties as requested.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a business or healthcare related field with a minimum of 5 years management experience in revenue cycle or acute healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent analytical, oral and written skills required.

Knowledge and ability to collaborate with clinical, operational and financial areas required.
