Job Summary:

The Epic Physician Builder/Informaticist student will be part of the Physician Builder team, and will be planning, designing, and building content for medical or surgical specialties within CNE’s Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system. Work with seasoned clinical providers to build streamlined efficient workflows.

Program Information:

The Physician Builder program promotes the clinical vision and professional practice model by:
• Optimizing digital tools for clinicians in partnership with provider staff, interdisciplinary teams and analyst colleagues
• Introducing and implementing innovative technologies to support clinical practice,
• Providing education and support to provider staff for informatics and technology solutions
• Ensuring all initiatives meet quality and regulatory standards
• The Physician Builder/Informatics student will be deeply attuned to the needs of clinical providers and team members and work to ensure their needs are understood and represented in forums where decisions about clinical information systems are made.
• The Physician Builder/Informatics student also participates in forums for staff to listen and translate recommendations which are shared for improvements, discuss new functionality and streamline workflows to continuously improve the provider practice environment.

Requirements:

Previous clinical experience in hospital setting preferred, Knowledge of provider workflows, Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, Proficiency with Digital Technology, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Facilitation skills beneficial.

Education: Matriculating student in active status

Experience: Previous healthcare experience

Certification: Eligible for Epic Builder Accreditation
