Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accounts payable functions including but not limited invoice and check request processing; keying invoices and expense reimbursements; reviewing invoices for accuracy; matching; and communicating with internal and external customers/vendors to resolve billing and credit issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Process high volume PO and Non-PO vendor invoices in system.

Answer vendor inquiries and interact with vendors regarding issues relating to invoices.

Electronically transmits check register files to the bank and initiates check voids and cancel issues within electronic banking system.

Interact professionally, collaboratively but persistently, with management and other departments for invoice problem resolution, obtaining approvals, and invoice processing.

Resolve problems associated with processing of invoices, 3 way match, application of payments, and check request.

Preserves and protects confidentiality of patient and Hospital(s)/CNE financial information.

Performs other job related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent with at least three years of accounts payable experience or equivalent.

Must be familiar with automated equipment and be able to perform computations/calculations with speed and accuracy.

Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be fluent in the English language.

Must possess proven ability to work independently.
