Job Summary:

The Providence Center Maintenance Helper & Courier will deliver mail and other items to all TPC locations.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Serve as driver for mail runs to pick-up and deliver mail between 520 Hope Street, 528/530 North Main Street, and various locations.

Ensure the overall safety of the employee (him/herself) and the vehicle during the course of performing daily duties.

Drive carefully and abide by general traffic rules.

Ensure that seat belts are worn for all traveling in Center owned vehicles.

Report any accident or violations to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.

Complete necessary incident report in accordance with policy

Participate in safety training related to driving.

Maintain safe driving record in accordance with Center policy as a condition of continued employment.

Every morning ensure 528/530 North Main Street is opened for daily operation.

Assist vendors as needed.

Replace light bulbs, rake leaves, shovel snow.

Report any unsafe conditions to Maintenance Manager

Monitor stock levels of cleaning products and paper goods.

Maintain cleanliness of Center garage

Clean up upon completion of job.

Perform assigned duties in a timely manner.

Occasional duties may include helping to move furniture and loading items for disposal.

Perform routine inspection check and registration check on all TPC owned vehicles.

Monitor mileage for schedule oil change on all TPC owned vehicles.

Deliver any miscellaneous items as needed.

Maintain cooperative relationships with other employees, consumers and the public.

Attend trainings and conferences.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Insured auto required. Must have valid driver's license.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
