Job Summary: Perform daily clinical operations of the Echocardiography Lab to include performing Transthoracic and Transesophogeal Echocardiograms, Contrast Studies using Definity, Bubble Studies, Stress Echocardiograms and Chemical Stress Echocardiograms. Also includes preliminary interpretation of studies, including an assessment of ventricular performance, and assistance during transesophageal procedures The sonographer will be utilizing 2D, M-Mode and Doppler techniques to evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data while assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The provision of services includes assessing patients, developing plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, setting up room and equipment to accomplish procedure, and ensuring quality images.
