Job Summary:

The Providence Center Manager of Peer Support Services will manage the daily operations of Peer Support Services and Oasis Wellness and Recovery Center; support and supervise the Peer Support staff. Manager will oversee scheduling for daily peer support activities, and will promote these services through community outreach and educational forums. Other duties include coordination of staff training and conducting training presentations.

Manager of Peer Support Services will oversee day to day operations of the Peer Support Program

Manager of Peer Support Services will be tasked with training new hires.

Manager of Peer Support Services will keep track of the program census, progress, and goals.

Manager of Peer Support Services will provide supervision and facilitate the development of Peer Support Staff.

Manager of Peer Support Services will assist Peer Support staff in providing individualized mental health coaching to clients in obtaining their health objectives.

Manager of Peer Support Services will assist Peer Support staff in managing their client’s mental and physical health.

Manager of Peer Support Services will assist Peer Support staff with supporting clients in learning how to make good choices for themselves.

Manager of Peer Support Services will assist Peer Support staff with creating and adapting wellness objectives to assist clients with overcoming barriers to good mental and physical health based on the needs of the clients.

Works closely with ACT and ICTT teams to engage clients in appropriate services and resources and assist with coordination of care.

Promotes consumer engagement in therapy with clinicians, engagement with psychiatric appointments, compliance with the healthcare registry, involvement and engagement with wellness services and engagement with primary care.

Completes all tracking and reporting requirements for outcomes and evaluation.

Maintains appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow-up for consumers.

Manager of Peer Support Services will oversee self-help recovery services (WRAP, Pathways to Recovery) and other peer wellness services.

Coordinates with ACT and ICTT teams at the Center to expand the reach of wellness/health focused peer specialist services.

Data reporting to BHDDH and other community partners.

Maintaining program budget including ordering of all program materials and supplies.

Collaborating with CNE marketing on approval of all marketing materials.

Performance evaluation and supervision of all staff per BHDDH, CARF, and CCBHC standards and requirements.

Maintain full time hours and participate in all manager required trainings and meetings.

Requirements:

Life experience which can be shared with other consumers.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a peer support setting. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Someone who views consumer needs with a high priority and who would be a strong advocate for them with other treatment providers.

Knowledge and experience in accessing community resources (such as; housing, medical, financial…). Someone who espouses a strong desire to help others.

Experience in Behavioral and/or medical health preferred.

Computer experience preferred.

Knowledge of recovery-based concepts.

Use of personal vehicles not required in this position however would be beneficial. If utilized must have valid driver's license and insured auto.

Certified Peer Specialist Certification and Community Mental Health worker Certification required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
