HVAC Mechanic

Primary Function: Responsible for installing, operating and maintaining all heating, ventilation and cooling systems in the hospital.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

-Maintain proper temperatures and ventilation throughout the hospital. Maintain all control systems (electric and pneumatic) for AHU and chillers.

-Assure all medical gases are maintained at proper pressures. Test heating and cooling water and add chemicals as needed.

-Conduct preventative maintenance necessary to maintain all equipment. Repair any equipment that is not operating properly.

- Install all new equipment including duct installations and piping medical gases.

-Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications: Vocational/technical training and a minimum of five year’s job-related experience or equivalent is required. RI Refrigeration License is also required.
