Leadership opportunity available at Kent Hospital! Kent Hospital is hiring a Nurse Director for our Intensive Care Unit & Stepdown Unit.

Job Summary: The Nurse Director in a collaborative relationship with the Associate Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for the planning of clinical services to assure efficient and appropriate delivery of care to the unit’s specific patient population. The Nurse Director will adhere to organizational philosophies and assure that quality care is delivered in a cost effective manner. Provides overall administrative direction and leadership for clinical staff, policies, procedures and programs for the unit and will be responsible for the 24-hour delivery of nursing care in the department.

Specifications: BSN required. Master’s degree in Nursing and or other related field required. RI State Nursing Licensure required as is graduation from an accredited nursing program. BLS required. A minimum of five year’s job-related experience is required; ten years of job-related experience preferred. Certification in administration or related specialty is preferred and required within two years of hire.
