Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating expertise in carrying out Level 1 and Level 2 obstetrical ultrasound procedures as well as the use and application of ultrasound equipment. The Ultrasound Technologist assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies. Maintains associated records for ultrasound studies, and coordinates quality assurance activities including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Specifications: Completion of a one or two year program or certified training course, followed by certification examination. Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and certification in OBGYN, is required. Must be competent in scanning pregnant women in the first, second, and third trimester, including targeted anatomic survey [Level 2 scans]. Must be proficient in the English language.
