Job Summary

Responsible for supervising and administering all clinical aspects of patients nutritional care.

Duties and Responsibilities

Screen and assess patient’s nutritional status and develop a nutritional care plan to meet individual needs.

Instruct patients and their families when appropriate to follow appropriate therapeutic diets.

Participates in consultations about patient’s nutritional therapy with the staff.

Monitor the ongoing nutrition-support. Provide appropriate documentation on patient’s forms.

Oversee work of others by assigning work and providing guidance as needed

Participate in team conferences to plan patient care plans.

Assume supervisory responsibilities in absence of Department Head.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and a minimum of one year’s job-related experience or equivalent is required.

American Dietetic Registration is also required.

DOE (Diabetes Outpatient Education Certification) required.
