Job Summary:

Thurber's Integrated Health Hospital (IHH) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team.

In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to our diverse patient population, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.The Bilingual Nurse will play a crucial role in effective communication and coordination of care between patients, their families, and the healthcare team, bridging language barriers to ensure clear understanding and comprehensive care delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, wound care, and other treatments, in accordance with professional standards and hospital policies

Create a welcoming and safe environment for patients, ensuring their physical and emotional comfort.

Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, employing interpretation and translation skills as needed.

Assure patient understanding by providing health education in a culturally appropriate manner, utilizing available resources and materials.

Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Monitor patient progress, document observations, and intervene appropriately to address changes in condition.

Maintain accurate and complete medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and hospital guidelines.

Adhere to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and sterile environment.

Participate in ongoing learning and professional development activities, keeping abreast of current nursing practices and evidence-based care.

Requirements:

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license.

Fluency in both English and another language (Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, Arabic, etc.).

Proven experience in a similar healthcare setting, preferably with diverse patient populations.

Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize, educate, and advocate for patients' needs.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize care effectively.

Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate documentation and records.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Commitment to cultural sensitivity, inclusion, and delivering patient-centered care.

Note: This position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to ensure continuity of care for our patients.
