Our ICU Nursing team is hiring for a motivated and team player. At Kent hospital we provide new RN graduates an expansive and personal nurse residency experience and an outstanding nurse orientation incorporating the AACN Essentials of Critical Care Nursing. Experienced nurses will receive a comprehensive orientation and education classes.
Job expectations and requirements of suscessful learning and completion of orientation include:
- I.V. certification.
- Completion of ECCO, nurse residency if new RN and all assigned education, classes for all RNs.
- Completion of on unit clinical orientation with successful skill and knowledge attainment to provide safe care to the critically ill adult population.
- The ability to recognize all significant cardiac arrhythmia.
- A clear understanding of symptoms and clinical findings for myocardial infarction and its complications.
- An understanding of the needs of the critically-ill medical and surgical patient.
- A thorough knowledge of the psychological as well as the medical needs of the patient and the need to maintain an environment free from noise and anxiety.
- Competence in the operation of all resuscitation equipment.
- BLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support completion. New graduates will complete ACLS within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and basic for Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumping.
- Attendance and completion of yearly competency fair and assigned ongoing education.
- BSN
- RI state RN licensure
