*We are offering a sign on bonus of $10,000 for new hire Staff Nurse, Night shift only. The first half is paid at 6 months and the second half will be paid at one year of employment.*

We have Part Time and Full Time Open Positions / Units and Float Options.

We offer a Fixed 2 week Schedule with alternating Weekends.

Location:

Butler Hospital is located on a beautiful campus just off Blackstone Blvd, on the east side of Providence, 5 minutes from Downtown Providence, about 45 minutes from Boston, and 30 minutes from Newport.

Job Summary: Provides direct patient care based on the knowledge of ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies and procedures, and the RI Nurse Practice Act.

Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.

Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.

Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.

Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.

Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Requirements: Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

Training and Experience: Current RI nursing license.

Special Qualifications: B.S.N preferred.
