SUMMARY
Assist President/COO (President) with achieving Operating Unit objectives through high quality administrative support by facilitating communication and acting as the liaison with staff and key internal and external stakeholders. Anticipate the Presidentís needs for information, materials, and responses to phone, email, meetings and other requests make independent decisions based on knowledge of shifting priorities. Provide support to Presidentís staff as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

Manage activities related to Board of Trustees and committees.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, and English preferred. Minimum of five years experience providing support at senior management level. Basic understanding of healthcareóprimary and behavioral-- and work in non-profit organizations is a plus. Must thrive in a high impact, deadline oriented and fluid environment. Must be culturally competent, possess a positive attitude and have the ability to relate to diverse populations and help foster community and teamwork. Must be high energy, motivated and able to anticipate the needs of the President.  

 

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must be computer literate and fully functional in Microsoft Office programs; have facility for technology and aptitude and interest in learning new technologies; awareness and experience with graphic design and dynamic power point presentations desired.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Bilingual Spanish Required. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills required. Ability to proofread essential. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to develop, write and speak effectively before small groups of employees.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to independently evaluate and analyze issues/options and determine best course of action based on findings.
