Registered Nurse-Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary

A 21 bed progressive care unit serving critically ill patients in a step down environment is recruiting for a motivated, caring team member. Under the supervision of the nurse manager and/or designee, the candidate will direct, coordinate, provide, and evaluate patient care with a constant focus to safety and quality initiatives. The candidate must demonstrate commitment to the seriously ill adult population with a focus on critical thinking and understanding of cardiac and pulmonary disease and illness. Must provide excellent customer service to patient, families and overall community. Able to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team to improve patient care needs and outcomes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Requirements:

Rhode Island Nursing licensure

BLS/ACLS

Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and monitoring

Previous progressive/step-down/telemetry experience preferred

BSN preferred, will have graduate RN from AND program if enrolled in BSN program with a target completion within 3 years

Will consider new graduate based on candidates strengths

20K Sign on bonus, Requires 2 years of Med/Surg RN Experience and a BSN or enrolled in BSN Program.
