The Research Project Coordinator provides support for the daily activities of clinical research studies, including overseeing the work of the interns and project assistants. The incumbent assists with collecting, formatting, and managing study data, and providing reports as needed. Provides administrative support, including manuscript writing, assisting with grants, and budget preparation. Assists with the development of the research programs, and performs other job-related duties as required.
Bachelors Degree required with experience in research protocols and clinical research administration. Must have experience with Institutional Review Board proposals and grant preparation. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills required, as well as fluency in the English language.
Specifications: Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related program of study in the sciences required. Masters degree in public or hospital administration desirable. At least three to five years previous related experience with progressive responsibility in research. Knowledge of research grant accounting and reporting functions preferred. Knowledge of Federal regulations pertaining to clinical research using human subjects highly desirable. Strong leadership and human relations skills required; must possess excellent oral/written communication skills and knowledge of computer applications.
