Position Summary/Essential Duties:
1. Analyzes and evaluates primary source verification data and documents for initial appointments and reappointments to the Medical and Allied Health Professional staffs according to medical staff and outside regulatory standards (The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), etc.) (40%). Adheres to Butler Hospital Service Standards.
2. Manages data quality and integrity for ECHO and Avatar through systematic audits. (20%)
3. Manages focused practitioner performance evaluation (FPPE) process in accordance with The Joint Commission Standards and Medical Staff Bylaws, policies and procedures. Participates in the distribution of ongoing practitioner performance evaluation (OPPE) reports. (15%)
4. Supports medical staff meetings by preparing agendas, attending meetings, recording minutes. (15%)
5. Participates in the Medical Staff Continuing Medical Education program as assigned by Manager. (10%)
Minimum Required Education/Expertise: High school diploma, two years Medical Staff office experience; 3 years of experience preferred.
Required Credentials, License and/or Certifications: Current NAMSS (National Association Medical Staff Services) CPCS and/or CPMSM certification highly preferred.
Experience & Knowledge:
2 years of medical staff database experience
Experience with heightened understanding of the medical staff organization and hospital operations
Ability to make independent procedural decisions and judgments within established guidelines
Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination of day-to-day aspects
Superior computer skills

Shift/Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm; 24/48 per pay period.
