Butler Hospital researchers are seeking to hire a Research Therapist for grant-funded projects testing interventions for patients with severe mental illness and comorbid substance abuse following a psychiatric hospitalization. Responsibilities include delivering research-based interventions, reviewing electronic medical records, writing clinical notes, utilizing electronic databases, preparing patient reports, and providing outreach and care coordination to patients with psychiatric disorders and their families.

Additional duties include working with a multidisciplinary team conducting research in a psychiatric hospital setting.

Required Education Masterís degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field required (license desirable but not required). Experience with providing cognitive-behavioral interventions and/or working with psychiatric hospital patients also desirable.
