Provides role as patient advocate through his/ /her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients needs for service. Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients’ activities of daily living. Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring , interacting and providing/assisting in groups. Recognizes that patient satisfaction is an important priority, Adheres to Butler Hospital Service Standards

• Attends orientation, work-related educational workshops, and staff meetings
• Meets with Manager for supervision as needed
• Maintains CPR certification
• Trains in “De-escalation” annually
• Attends all annual in-service education as required
• Maintains C.N.A certification

Schedule on Float Pool, part-time Nights, 20/40 hours per pay period:

• Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Friday; Week 2: Friday, Saturday

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred.
• Training and Experience: experience in working with mentally ill clients
• Special Qualifications: Excellent communication skills.
• External Candidates must have an active C.N.A License to be considered
