Job Summary: The Record Analyst obtains and reviews medical records for completion of Joint Commission and Federal Hospital Policies. The incumbent analyzes deficiencies in medical documentation and assigns physicians responsible for completing records. Monitors physicians' incomplete file area, including filing of incomplete records, physician letter notification, suspension list, final analysis, maintenance of file and completion of bill hold.
Specifications: High School Degree required, Associates Degree or HIT preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in a health care environment, medical office setting. Additional training or experience in Medical Terminology. Strong analytical skills are necessary, along with typing and data entry skills. Experience with Cerner and 3M
