Job Summary: The Nurse Manager oversees and manages the clinical operations within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Center (OGCC) and Gyn Specialty Department. The incumbent defines and establishes the program’s goals and activities, communicates and monitors department standards, and develops and implements unit's policies and procedures as required. Performs administrative duties, such as managing human resources, clinical staff schedules, assists with managing department budgets, participates in the Joint Commission ongoing task force, service line group, and performs other job-related duties as required. Works cohesively with the Practice Manager with regards to management coverage. The Nurse Manager supervises the clinical staff, provides quality patient care, and serves as a contact person for patients in the program.

Specifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, Masters degree or proof of academic achievement toward a Masters degree in Nursing or related field and must be currently enrolled in a Masters program with a targeted date of completion preferred. Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the State of Rhode Island. Must have five years nursing and supervisory experience in an outpatient setting such as hospital clinic, health center, or large private practice. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and oral/written communication skills required. Working knowledge of computer applications is required.
