Security Manager

Primary Function

The Manager oversees all security operations for the hospital. The Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing security policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Serves as the Manager for the Security staff. Interviews, hires, trains, completes performance evaluations, and initiates disciplinary action as necessary for Security staff.

Develops, revises, maintains, and implements department policies and procedures in order to ensure maximum security is maintained in Hospital operations.

Serves as liaison with local law enforcement to assist investigations of accidents, thefts, and property loss. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal guidelines regarding security.

Provides leadership, advice and counsel to Administration on security policies and practices. Identifies exposures, recommends and develops corrective plans as appropriate.

Develops, maintains and processes payroll, work schedules, and budget for Security.

Addresses questions and problems that arise related to Security during non-working hours.

Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred. A Minimum of 5 years of related experience is required. Previous law enforcement & leadership experience is preferred.
