Job Summary:

The Care New England Clinical Audit Assistant will support CNE Risk Management with clinical reviews of patient encounters in various EMR systems in connection with indemnification program audits and assessments.

Note: This is a remote position, but the Clinical Audit Assistant will be required to visit the Care New England, Rhode Island, USA facilities consistently. Preference will be given to candidates within commutable distance when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Requires employee to access clinical records as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention and apply a specific audit tool to the review. The review is entered into a database. At the completion of the review, this employee will assist in the reports associated with the audit.

This employee will work independently but will participate in audit update meetings.

A. Requires experience working in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) (Cerner, Epic and Athena)

B. Requires experience with clinical chart review.

C. Requires use of Redcap, Excel and PowerPoint

D. Requires attendance at meetings and collaborative work with other Loss Prevention employees

Requirements:

Associate's Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
